Selected as Touring Artists by the Virginia Commission for the Arts, the Carys bring a cornucopia of instruments and invite their audience to play gourds, cowbells and other world percussion instruments. Along with Irish jigs and reels, the Carys play East European freilachs, West African drum rhythms and their compositions about animals and life in Nelson County. Kim & Jimbo Cary have been performing and teaching traditional acoustic music for over 20 years at festivals, concerts, school assemblies & residencies, libraries, museums, and more.
