The Virginia Playwrights Initiative (VPI) is a part of the Hamner Theater's continuing mission to foster new works for the stage, specifically those by Virginia playwrights. Following the reading, there will be a discussion open to all.

Friday, May 15 at 7pm, actor read of The Viennese Patient, by Mark Edmundson

Thursday, June 4 at 7pm, Bill Rough will read his play Blackout.

Thursday, June 11 at 7pm, actor read of Blackout, by Bill Rough.

We will gather for a snack and a chat at 6:30 and start the reading at 7pm. Please come listen to the play and be part of the conversation afterwards.

Playwrights Jane Ann Crum and Cindy Dlugolecki will be in residence at the Hamner from June 8 - 21, with staged readings of their works in progress Sunday, June 21 - check website for times.
